The Ferry Terminal of the Port of Ravenna occupies an area of 125.000 sqm and offers two berths for ferries with a canal bed depth of 11.5 m. The Terminal, is presently managed by T. & C. – Traghetti e Crociere (a company wholly owned by the Port Authority) which acquired it in order to speed-up the completion of its infrastructural facilities.
At the moment the ferries operating in the Terminal are those serving the Ravenna-Catania (Tirrenia) and the Ravenna-Catania-Brindisi (Grimaldi) routes, leader lines in the Adriatic routes of the National Motorways of the Sea. Located a short distance from the main highways, the terminal is easily accessible from the most important Italian cities and is directly linked to the international airports of Bologna (80 km and a 50 min. drive away from Ravenna’s city center), Forlì (30 km and a 30 min. drive away from Ravenna’s city center) and Rimini (60 km and a 50 min. drive away from Ravenna’s city center).
Also, very recently an additional 3 RO-PAX connection lines with Greece (Igoumenitsa and Patras) have been added by the Grimaldi-Minoan Groups.
