| Towage service is carried out 24h/day by the SOCIETA' ESERCIZIO RIMORCHI E SALVATAGGI - S.E.R.S. which operates one of the most modern and powerful tug fleets in Italy comprising of 38 vessels ranging in power from 800 to 6,200 bhp and from 10 to 56 tons bollard pull.
The CORPO DEI PILOTI DEL PORTO DI RAVENNA, runs the pilot service, which is certified according to ISO 9002 quality standards, is composed of 13 qualified Maritime pilots operating 24 hours a day. The Pilot Station is equipped with three pilot cutters and a VTS traffic control system and it guarantees pilotage and traffic assistance in the outer and inner waters. The Gruppo Ormeggiatori del Porto di Ravenna provides mooring services to ensure safe navigation and berthing. This activity is available 24 hours a day all year round thanks to 28 highly professional mooring staff and it is carried out both inside the port and at roadstead in all weather conditions, by using technologically advanced means and instruments. Completing the range of services offered to vessels by the Port of Ravenna, there are companies specialised in ship repairing, bunkering, water supply, bilge and waste collection from ships and disposal (an incinerator is available in the port area) and any kind of ship supply. Over 50 shipping agencies with old tradition and hundreds of skilled workers give assistance to ships to meet all their requirements while anchoring in Ravenna, coordinating the different services and ship chandlers. |
