Port terminals
SAPIR - PORTO INTERMODALE RAVENNA has 1,600 m. of authorised quays which are equipped with 14 (16 to 280 tons swl.) mobile and fixed cranes.
Facing the quays, there are 51,000 sq. m. of covered warehouses and 350,000 sq. m. of yards for cargo storage. The company's infrastructures consist also in a liquid product terminal able to store up to 90,000 cu.m. of bulk liquid products (except oil products) and a warehouse to store raw materials for ceramics.
All the quays are connected to the railways network through private tracks for overall 15,000 m.

It also runs the new terminal for inerts with 50,000 sq. m. yards and a 380 m. long quay.
The TERMINAL CONTAINER RAVENNA (TCR), extending over an area of roughly 300,000 sq. m., has 680 meters of berth dedicated to LO/LO and RO/RO vessels.
Loading and Unloading operations are carried out by 4 Paceco gantry cranes. In the yard there are 4 RMG (rail mounted gantry cranes) and 18 reach stackers for handling road and rail carriers.
The terminal area can accommodate any kind of container including reefers (more than 100 plugs available) and hazardous cargo (over 1,000 TEUs capacity).
From the terminal, linked to the rail road, reliable MTOs offer regular departures from/to Melzo (Milano), Dinazzano (Modena) and Bologna.
The SETRAMAR terminal , bonded warehouse for foreign and national goods and licensed VAT deposit, with a handling capacity of over 2,500,000 tons of dry goods and 100,000 containers per year, extends over an area of 227,000 sq. m. (of which 38,000 sq. m. storeroom) with its own Customs office. It offers a pier more than 600 metres long fitted with a double RO-RO berth and equipped with 4 ship to shore container cranes, 3 mobile cranes (100 tons/each) and 1 two piped-suction tower.
Thanks to the high technology of its equipment (including 1 sterilizator for flours, bagging, grinding and crushing appliances, etc), the terminal can offer efficient services for grains and flour bulks, minerals, fertilisers, timber, steel and iron products, containers and general cargo.
The terminal is equipped with a rail link of 1,000 m. length.
The LLOYD, terminal, private bonded warehouse for foreign and national goods and licensed VAT deposit with a handling capacity of 1,500,000 tons per year, extends over an area of 107,000 sq. m. (of which 38,000 sq. m. storeroom ). With a pier of 320 meters long fitted with 2 gantry cranes, one self-propelled crane (60 tons) and one two-piped suction tower, it provides unloading, loading and storage services as well as other auxiliary handling operations with a particular specialisation in bulk cargo such as grains and flour, fertilisers, coal, minerals and inert goods.
Thanks to the wide variety, the versatility and the high technology of its equipment (9 fertiliser bagging appliances, palleting systems, grinding and riddling systems, etc.) as well as the direct management of the whole logistic cycle, it can offers efficient and inexpensive services.
DOCKS CEREALI covers a surface of 253,000 sq.m. and is equipped with a quay of about 810 meters with a depth of 10.5 meters and a rail siding of 1,500 meters.
The Docks Cereali Terminal carries out the following activities: loading and unloading on the quay of cereals, flours, fertilisers, inert materials, bulk goods, bags, big-bags and slings; loading and discharging of rail wagons and road vehicles; grinding and mixing raw materials for animal feed production; bagging; handling of any kind of goods including bags.
118 vertical silos, 71 horizontal warehouses and 2 large areas of open storage assure an overall capacity of 400,000 tons. 2 gantry cranes with grabs, 3 pneumatic towers and a mechanic one, 2 towers with grabs, 2 bag loaders and a dedusted hopper assure excellent unloading rates.
EURODOCKS, terminal operator since 1994 and still in continuous expansion. Considerable investments are being made to remain competitive and offer greater opportunity to even the most demanding customers wishing to improve their product by using services that can give added value.
In just 10 years Eurodocks has expanded to give an unloading potential of over 2,500 tons per hour thanks to the use of 5 travelling cranes and of a bridge crane, and now handles 2,000,000 tons of goods annually, mainly materials for the ceramics and glass industries, also cereals, flour, fertilizers and iron and steel products.
From 2007 new equipment for the processing of over 500,000 tons annually of minerals and iron and steel products will be put into use.
The NA.DEP. terminal covers a surface of 100,000 sq.m. (yards: 50,000 sq.m. and covered warehouses 50,000 sq.m.) with a maximum storage capacity of 300,000 cu.m. for solid bulk and breakbulk goods. The terminal has a 240 m. long pier with a RO-RO berth, equipped with 3 mobile cranes with an offloading capacity of 400 tons/hour each. Such capacity allows an overall handling of 1 million tons/year of dry goods.
NADEP OVEST, terminal operator specialised in loading and unloading of raw materials and goods in bulk, pallets, big bags, iron and steel pipes, wood and timber. It is a bonded storehouse with a warehouse for goods transformation and storage of goods and with large uncovered areas close to the port terminal.
The I.F.A. terminal covers an area of 150,000 sq.m. (yards: 75,000 sq.m.; covered warehouses: 75,000 sq.m.) with a storage capacity of 650,000 tons in covered areas and 450,000 tons in open areas for solid and breakbulk goods.
It has 274 m. of quays, 10.50 m. deep, well equipped with conveyors connecting to yards and warehouses lying behind the quay.
Thanks to its quay equipment comprising of one 40 ton Reggiane crane, two 63 ton Reggiane MHC 115 cranes, two plants to unload ships by conveyor belt equipped with hoppers including a weighing plant, six hoppers, three weighbridge, seven Volvo excavators and other installations for services connected to unloading/loading, the I.F.A. installations can handle up to 2 million tons/year of dry goods.
The MAGAZZINI GENERALI OF THE PORT OF RAVENNA, division of La Petrolifera Italo Rumena, operates a bonded warehouses of a total of 66,000 sq. m.
It is specialised in the storage, handling, bagging of rice, flour, cereals, sugar, salt and plastic and ferrous materials, packages and in bulk, with warehouses having a total surface of 15,000 sq. m., and outdoor space of 10,000 sq. m.
Three tanks for a total capacity of 4,300 cu. m. are available, certified for foodgrade liquids, including low flash point grades. It has exclusive use of a quay where it operates a bag filling unit with conveyor equipment to a ship loader. A mobile crane is also available.
The terminal SOCO, private bonded warehouse with a pier of 245 meters long and a handling capacity of 1,000,000 tons per year, extends over an area of 145,000 sq. m. (of which 68,000 sq. m. storeroom ). It provides unloading, loading, storage services and ancillary handling operations with specialization in bulk cargo such as fertilizers, minerals, inerts and general cargo.
ITALTERMINAL extends over an area of 70,000 sq.m. (of which 22,000 sq.m covered warehouses) facing a berth of 300 m. equipped with all kind of services for unloading/loading and with 2 mobile cranes with a lifting capacity of 63 and 40 tons and hoppers. Italterminal, bonded warehouse and licensed VAT deposit, can unload and store any dry bulk cargo including dangerous goods and, thanks to 8 bagging/paletizing equipment it can blend/package up to 3,000 tons of fertilizers daily.
The DOCKS E.C.S. terminal, a private customs store, is located near the public quays. It operates in three areas of about 80,000 sq. m., 40,000 sq. m. of which are covered, and carries out loading, unloading and storage operations of bulk cargo such minerals, inert products, fertilizers and cereals. Drying, milling, mixing homogenizing and packing machinery are available.
