From the breakwater entrance to the Darsena San Vitale

Draft limitations can be increased by 0.5 ft (15 cm - 6 inches) up to max draft 9.45 m. (31 ft), for vessels of max LOA 236 m. and subject to favourable Port / weather conditions.

Draft limitations can be increased respectively up to 9.60 m. (31.6 ft), for vessels of max LOA 210 m. and min BEAM 28 m. and with max tidal variation, provided they operate on docks with max depth and at anchor the tide isn't any lower than -40cm in respect to medium tide.

Navigation for vessels with LOA 261, 246 and 236 m. and draft greater than 27, 28 and 29 ft respectively, is permitted only in conditions of high tide.

Draft limitations can be reduced by 1 ft, for vessels of min LOA 210 m. and min BEAM 30 m. with low tide exceeding 40 cm.

From the Darsena San Vitale to the Darsena di Città

The maximum width of the SIR and CMC Docks is reduced to 16 meters.

The mooring of ships with max BEAM 22 m. and 4,88 (16' of draft ) may be authorized upon request, provided that weather-marine conditions or the presence of other vessels between the Mobile Bridge and the North dock 3 do not render navigation insecure.

Baiona Canal (P.I.R. Wharves)

The mooring of ships with LOA 185 m., BEAM 33 m. and max draft of 8,53 m. (28') is permitted, subject to favourable weather-marine conditions.

Piombone Canal - Western side

Vessel's draft can be increased up to 6.71 m. (22 ft) in conditions of hightide and weather permitting.

Piombone Canal - Eastern side

In the case in which the structures to be loaded/unloaded require the use of larger floaters, the dockyard will have to make the appropriate request to the Harbour Master's Office before any work can begin. Their use may be authorized subject to their characteristics and prevailing weather-marine conditions, up to the above-mentioned maximum draft.
