Coastal depots

For more than 40 years, Alma Petroli has operated in the heavy oil refining sector. During these years the refinery has specialised in the production of a wide range of bitumen for road and industrial use, such as oxidised bitumen and may thus be considered the Italian leader in this field.

Fosfitalia is the Italian leader in the production of calcium phosphate. Alongside the canal port in Ravenna, it has a licensed wharf with a coastal depot of phosphoric acid and a storage and bagging station of solid products. All the plants are fully automated and they work 24 hours a day all year round.

Enel also operates on the banks of the canal port with its power plant transforming into electric power the gas oil received via pipeline connected to an offshore terminal. In the future, the source of power will become methane gas.

Located at the port entrance, the PIR. bonded terminal provides independent services for storage and handling of chemicals and bulk liquids in general. 57 tanks (some of them are in stainless steel, others are specially coated and some heat regulated; all tanks have a nitrogen blanketing system installed) for a total capacity of 79,000 cu.m., are available, connected by several lines to two jetties and one licensed berth. Numerous loading points for trucks and large spaces assure the speedy handling of any terminal operation.

Adriatank terminal provides independent services for storage and handling of foodgrade liquids and bulk chemicals and specializes in the drumming of many different products. It operates at the "Darsena di Cittą Terminal" with a capacity of 17,000 cu.m. for foodgrade liquids and 28,500 cu.m. for bulk chemicals, and at the "Darsena San Vitale Terminal", 4,850 cu.m. dedicated to foodgrade liquids.

The De.Co.Ra. terminal, 14 tanks for a total capacity of 16,720 cu.m., specializes in storage and handling services to third parties of low and high flash point oil products, petrochemicals and chemicals. It is a modern and versatile facility that offers a wide range of services, amongst which the possibility of direct shipment via tanktruck through the terminal installations of low flash point products.

Petra, a joint venture between "La Petrolifera Italo Rumena" and "Agip Petroli", provides independent services for storage and handling of oil products. Petra offers qualified and cost-effective services, utilising the facilities of two terminals, Via Trieste and Porto Corsini. Tanks of different size and characteristics are available, connected to berths and a jetty for exclusive use.
